HORIZONS NEWS! Lecture Series a Success!

We are pleased to announce that the lecture this past Monday with Arthur Brown went very well!  We had 20 in attendance and there was some very good discussion around the topic of managing risky behaviour of youth.

We are pleased to announce that there will be THREE more lectures for March, April and May... the topics and speakers will be announced NEXT week!

HORIZONS LIVE will be in Croatia this weekend for a Leadership Training Retreat with the Baptist Youth of Croatia (OMV).

RESCHEDULE OF LECTURE - 21st of February 7pm (CET)

Due to technical difficulties with the internet connection in Lebanon we have rescheduled the Future Present Lecture on Risk Taking Behaviour and Youth by Arthur Brown based at the Arab Baptist Theological Seminary in Beirut.

The lecture will now be held on Monday, February 21at 7pm CET.

Thanks for your understanding and for those who missed it... this is a second chance to catch a great seminar!

Growing Leaps and Bounds

HORIZONShas been steadily growing with almost 70 participants now registered as either mentors in training or those looking for individual training. Soon we will have a Russian speaking mentor added to our team in the person of Sasha Cheprasov who is a Russian born youth worker trained at IBTS in Prague and in Scotland, now serving in Saint John, New Brunswick Canada. Also the Norwegian Baptist Youth Department are translating Horizons into Norwedgian and will soon be available for mentor training. Several other processes are in the works with Austria, Bolivia, Canada to name a very few.

Happy New Year 2011 at Horizons!

Horizons is growing leaps and bounds and we have just added Canada to the mix and mentors are being trained to begin using the material in 2011.  Also development continues for various languages and Spanish will be online soon to be used in Bolivia in 2011 as well.  It promises to be a busy 2011!

Welcome to the Horizons Blogsite!

In this age of technology the only way it seems to keep connected and keeping people informed is to Blog, Facebook, Twitter or some sort of "E"- communication.  With the European Baptist Federation we want to get information to you as soon as it is happening!

In this blog we will attempt to keep you informed of training conference, HORIZONS training events, resources seminars and lectures within the European Baptist Family.  For the time being the information will have to be communicated in English.  (There is a wonderful tool in Google that will translate this site into any language within our EBF family).

We want to be of assistance to you here in an aspect of your youth leadership training, organizing and encouragement of you and your volunteers.  So feel free to comment or let us know what we can do better!  There are no limits when it comes to the creativity that God gives us to help one another!
